Michele's 1st Blog!

Hi my name is Michele Elise Meyer, I was born on August 18th, 2006, and this is my 1st blog so all of my family and friends can keep up with my progress and see all of the pictures that Mommy & Daddy are taking of me.

It's been another busy week in the life and times of Michele. I went to my friend Matteo's 1st birthday party, saw the Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons get inflated (I get it now), watched some of the parade on TV (Dora!!), and saw lots of family for Thanksgiving and over the weekend. All the while I'm starting to learn how to walk too. As long as someone gives me a hand -- or just a finger will do -- then I can walk around plenty. I'll take the occasional step on my own, but I'm still working on my balance.

Party time with Matteo and his toys.

Taking a ride with Mommy is -- whoa, balloons...so many balloons...

One balloon? There's balloons everywhere, and I only get to keep one lousy balloon?

Happy Thanksgiving, Cousin Jesse!

Wow, that Halloween thing was so much fun, do I get to do that every year? After all the candy and animal costumes, I hear that there's another fun holiday coming up -- Thanksgiving. Rumor has it that there's even more eating and even bigger animals this time, including a big parade. Mommy and Daddy said they're going to take me to see the animals get blown up, which sounds like animal cruelty to me but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Big news: I have a new cousin! His name is James. I should get to meet him soon, I'm sure he's pretty tired.

I get a little carried away when it comes to Cheerios.

Facing forward in the car is so much better. Now I can play with whoever is driving! Maybe that's not such a good idea...

I don't usually fall asleep in my stroller, but this is what happens when I miss a nap.

Welcome to the world, James!

Happy Belated Halloween! I know it's a little late but I thought I'd share some pictures of me in my Halloween costume -- I was dressed as a little bear. New York City is a great place for kids and Halloween.

I got some pre-Halloween trick-or-treating done at Grand Central Terminal, where I also gazed at the big ceiling. Then on Halloween, I showed off my costume to some family and then went to one of my favorite local parks, Hippo Park, for a Halloween parade. There were lots of other kids in costumes and men in skirts playing some funny instrument called bagpipes. I only got a taste or two of the candy, but when I get to walk around next year I'm sure that I'll get more.

Here's me & Mommy with Shella & Alec at Grand Central.

The happiest, cutest bear you'll ever see.

At Hippo Park, obviously.
